LPG Cylinder price: Good news for ration card holders, now gas cylinder will be available for Rs 428, know how

New Delhi: Ration card holders have received a gift from the government after the Central Government recently reduced the price of domestic gas cylinders. The Goa government has made a big announcement after the central government has cut the price of cylinders by Rs 200.

After the announcement made by the state government, the card holders of Antyodaya Anna Yojana will get the cylinder for Rs.428. In fact, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Union Minister Shirpad Y Naik launched the ‘Chief Minister’s Financial Assistance Scheme’ for LPG cylinder refilling in Panaji.

275 rupees subsidy in the state

Under the scheme, a subsidy of Rs 275 will be given by the state government on the cylinder to the Antyodaya Anna Yojana card holders of the state. On this occasion, the CM of Goa said, ‘PM Modi had earlier announced a subsidy of Rs 200 for LPG cylinder.

Let us tell you that the subsidy of 200 rupees of the center is being given to the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme. Apart from this, it has been announced by the Government of Goa to give an additional Rs 275 per month for AAY Ration Card Holders.

Subsidy of Rs 200 Ujjwala Yojana

More than 11,000 people in the state have AAY (Antyodaya) cards. Such card holders will get Rs 200 Ujjwala Yojana subsidy and Rs 275 subsidy given by the Goa government.

Overall, a subsidy of Rs 475 will be given to the ration card holders. Let us tell you that Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) caters to the needs of poor families.

Rs 428 Maths

Let us tell you that after a reduction of Rs 200 in the price of the cylinder on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the 14.2 kg cylinder has become Rs 903 in Panaji. Whereas, the price of cylinder in South Goa is Rs 917.

In this way, if we look at it in terms of Rs 903, then after getting subsidy of Rs 200 from Ujjwala scheme and Rs 275 from the government, the price of the cylinder will come down to Rs 428. However, such beneficiaries will have to pay the full price of the cylinder to the gas agency.
