LPG Cylinder will reach home in the coming days with booking. Because Indian oil is planning such that the cylinder can be found within 30 to 45 minutes after booking Indane’s customer. The IOC plans to launch Tatkal LPG Seva immediately. Through this service of IOC, the cylinder will be delivered the same day the customer books the LPG cylinder.
Ease of Living
IOC will initially start this service in 1 city of every state. LPG service will start immediately here. Under this scheme, the customer will get the LPG cylinder within 30 to 45 minutes of booking. The IOC says that work is going on in this direction. This IOC effort is a part of the central government’s aim of ‘ease of living’.
Indane brand name cylinder
IOC officials say that there is an attempt to start this service from 1 February. Indian Oil sells cylinders to its customers under the brand name Indane. There are 28 crore LPG customers in the country with 14 crore IOC subscribers.
Tatkal LPG Services
According to the IOC official, any customer who uses this Tatkal LPG service or ‘single day delivery service’ will have to pay some more fees for this, how much will this premium or charge be? The dealers’ existing delivery network will be used for this immediate service.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana
According to the news of Business Standard, SBC or single bottle cylinder customers i.e. those who have only 1 LPG cylinder, find it difficult when the cylinder ends suddenly. The second category is those that have two cylinders with 1, they are called DBC or double bottle consumers. They have the option that if one cylinder is finished then use another. According to a CAG report on Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), delay in delivery of cylinders is a major challenge in the way of adoption of LPG.
Supply on demand
According to an LPG dealer, although the IOC scheme is not new, in July 2010, the then Oil Minister Murali Deora launched a scheme called the Preferred Time LPG Delivery Scheme. Under this scheme, the customer could demand the cylinder from 7 am to 9 pm. But the scheme could not be implemented.
