What is the price of which cylinder?
The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG has now become Rs 1,796.50 in the national capital Delhi and Rs 1,749 in Mumbai. At the same time, the price of 14.2 kg cylinder is still at the level of Rs 903 in the country’s capital Delhi.
If we look at it accordingly, the domestic cylinder is still cheaper by Rs 893.50 compared to the commercial one. Let us tell you that commercial cylinders are used in establishments like hotels and restaurants.
There was a cut of Rs 200 in August
Let us tell you that in the month of August this year, the Central Government had made a big cut of domestic LPG cylinder prices by Rs 200. After this cut, the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder was reduced by Rs 200 in all markets across the country from August 30, 2023.
Due to this decision in Delhi, the price of 14.2 kg cylinder was reduced from Rs 1103 per cylinder to Rs 903 per cylinder, which is still in force. More than 9 crore Ujjwala beneficiaries have also benefited from this.
After this deduction, the effective price for the beneficiary in Delhi is Rs 703 per cylinder. However, later it was also announced to give an additional subsidy of Rs 100 to the beneficiaries. After this deduction, beneficiaries are getting the cylinder for Rs 603.
