Lpg gas cylinder booking new rules Refill booking portability of LPG Cylinders to be started as pilot project in 5 cities know in detail

LPG Gas Cylinder New Rules: LPG customers were already getting the facility of booking gas cylinders and connection portability sitting at home. Now customers will have the option to choose gas refill facility through their favorite oil marketing company sitting at home.

The Modi government is now going to give a new facility to crores of LPG cylinder users across the country. Now you yourself will decide through which oil marketing company your gas cylinder will be refilled. The government has now decided to allow LPG customers to decide from which distributor they want to get LPG refilled. Customers will now be able to choose from any of the delivery distributors of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) that distribute LPG in their area. In the pilot phase, this unique facility will be available in Gurgaon, Pune, Ranchi, Chandigarh, Coimbatore. The pilot phase will be started soon.

When customers book LPG refill through their mobile app or customer portal, they will see the list of distributors in their area. The customer can choose any of the distributor from the list applicable for his area to avail LPG refill delivery. This service will not only empower the customers through increased choice but will also induce healthy competition among the distributors to provide best-in-class services to the customers and improve their performance ratings.

Customers getting digital LPG services

Taking forward the Digital India mission, Oil Marketing Companies under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas are continuously improving their facilities to provide a seamless digital experience to the customers. The need for contactless transactions has been increased in view of the restrictions imposed due to Kovid-19. Leveraging the technology, OMC has taken several steps to help customers book and pay LPG refills through the digital platform.
