LPG Price: Big News! There will be a discount of Rs 450 on cylinders in this state, Cabinet approved

After the reduction in the price of gas cylinder by Rs 200, the price of 14 kg LPG cylinder has become Rs 900, and now the state government has also announced a compensation of Rs 450 through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

New Delhi: Assembly elections are going to be held in Madhya Pradesh later this year. In such a situation, all the political parties are trying their best to woo the voters. Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Madhya Pradesh Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan approved the proposal to give a subsidy of Rs 450 per gas cylinder purchased to Ujjwala connection beneficiaries.

This announcement was made by CM Chauhan during a program in Bhopal recently. Addressing a gathering on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Chouhan had announced that the state government would provide LPG cylinders for Rs 450. Two days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Union Cabinet announced reducing the price of LPG kitchen cylinder by Rs 200, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led MP cabinet approved the proposal.

State Home Minister Narottam Mishra told reporters on Thursday that after the Rs 200 cut in the price of the gas cylinder, the price of a 14 kg LPG cylinder has become Rs 900, and now the state government has announced the sale of LPG through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). A compensation of Rs 450 has also been announced.

Mishra said, “Beneficiaries under the Centre’s Ujjwala scheme will get the compensation amount in the next few days, while the process of providing the same benefits to other consumers will also be started soon. The Cabinet also approved some other major proposals on Thursday. Has been given, which also includes construction of four-lane worth Rs 2,981.65 crore.

The Cabinet has approved the proposal to increase the incentive amount of Asha workers from Rs 2,000 to Rs 6,000. The incentive amount of ASHA supervisors has been increased from Rs.350 to Rs.500 and maximum.
