LPG Price Cut: 10 crore customers will get gas cylinder for Rs 703, check gas cylinder price list

LPG Cylinder Price: In the cabinet meeting chaired by PM Modi on Tuesday, information was given to cut the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 200 for all the people.

LPG Gas Cylinder Price: To control inflation, continuous steps are being taken by the government. After imposing export duty on onions last days, the government has now made a big cut on gas cylinders. After the decision of the government, now all the domestic consumers will get the cylinder 200 rupees cheaper. Till now the price of gas cylinder in the capital Delhi was Rs 1103, which has come down to Rs 903. Apart from this, the government will give 75 lakh new LPG connections for free under the Ujjwala scheme.

This step of the government is being seen as election preparations. In this regard, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur informed about reduction in the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 200 for all the people in the cabinet meeting chaired by PM Modi on Tuesday. After this decision, the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has come down from Rs 1103 to Rs 903.

Who will get the benefit of Rs 400

After the deduction of Rs 200 on the cylinder by the government, the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala Yojana will get a total benefit of Rs 400. The government was already giving them a subsidy of Rs.200. Due to which he was getting the cylinder for Rs 903. But now they will get Rs 200 more cheaper. That is, the beneficiaries of Ujjwala will now get the cylinder for Rs.703. Thakur said that the objective of this initiative is to provide relief to the families.

After getting Ujjwala connections to 75 lakh families, the number of its new beneficiaries will increase to 10.35 crore. In Madhya Pradesh, the government has promised to provide LPG at Rs.500 if it comes to power. Congress is also providing LPG at the same price in Rajasthan. Elections are to be held in both the states in November-December. However, Thakur refused to link this decision with the elections. He said that this is a gift from the Modi government to women on the occasion of Onam and Raksha Bandhan.
