Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme: The government has released Rs 155 crore of subsidy to LPG cylinder consumers. The amount has been transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries of the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme.

New Delhi: Under the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme, the Rajasthan government has issued a subsidy to the beneficiaries of PM Ujjwala Yojana giving a big gift. To help the poor people, the Rajasthan government is running the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme, under which LPG gas cylinders are being given to the beneficiaries for only Rs 500 from the government.

The government has transferred the subsidy money to the LPG cylinder consumers of Rajasthan in their bank accounts on Thursday, 27 July. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted that today in the Beneficiary Dialogue, under the Indira Gandhi Gas Cylinder Subsidy Scheme, by pressing the button, more than Rs 155 crore has been directly transferred to the bank accounts of more than 36 lakh consumers in a single stroke. Last month in June, the government had released Rs 60 crore of subsidy in the accounts of 14 lakh consumers.

From April 1, 2023, the Rajasthan government is making LPG cylinders available to the consumers for Rs.500 only. The aim of the government is to provide this benefit to 76 lakh needy families. The benefit of the cylinder subsidy scheme is being given to the beneficiaries of the PM Ujjwala Yojana and the poor people.

Subsidy money will come in Aadhaar linked account

To get a subsidized cylinder, consumers will have to link their bank account with Jan Aadhaar, because the subsidy amount will come directly into their bank accounts. However, while booking the cylinder, the consumers will have to pay the full amount of the cylinder, later the government will release the subsidy together.

Let’s understand from the example- If the price of booking a cylinder in a gas agency is Rs 1040, then the consumer will have to pay the entire Rs 1040 to the cylinder company. In this, the state government will transfer Rs 540 of subsidy to the consumer’s Jan Aadhaar linked account.
