7th pay commission: The Modi government has given a big relief to the central employees. The claim related to their LTC (Leave Travel Concession) will now be passed. However, they will have to present the receipt of booked train or plane ticket by 30 November 2021. According to the order of the Finance Ministry, Central employees who had booked plane or train tickets for LTC Journey between 24 March 2020 to 31 May 2020 but could not travel due to the lockdown, such government employees will be given ticket cancellation or reschedule charge. A receipt will have to be given for the reimbursement. After that they will get the money.
A copy of the order of the Department of Expenditure of the Finance Ministry is with Jagran.com. It said that the concession is being extended from January 7, 2021, to November 30, 2021. Till this date, the claim for the amount of expenses incurred for canceling the ticket or re-planning the journey will be passed.
According to Under Secretary Satish Kumar, the government employees who got tickets from the airline and their refund has been put in the credit shell, then the interval of 3 payment of LTC Advance can be extended in that case. Also, no interest will be charged on LTC advance for the journey planned during the lockdown. According to Satish Kumar, the interval for repayment of LTC advance is being increased from 28 February 2021 to 30 November 2021.
Harishankar Tiwari, former president of AG Office Brotherhood, said that in 2020 and 2021, many government employees were stuck in LTC advance. He had planned the journey but could not go due to the lockdown. In such cases there was confusion. The government has given them great convenience by increasing the deadline. This will settle their claim.
