MBBS Fee Hike: MBBS fees increased by up to four lakhs in private medical colleges, more money will have to be paid for hostel as well

Students taking admission will have to pay this fee in lump sum or in four installments. The college will not charge late fee or interest for this. The Medical Education Department has issued an order in this regard.

MBBS Fee Hike: MBBS fees in private medical colleges of UP have increased from five thousand to four lakh rupees. Students taking admission will have to pay this fee in lump sum or in four installments. The college will not charge late fee or interest for this. The Medical Education Department has issued an order in this regard.

In July, UP Unaided Medical and Allied Science College Welfare Association appealed to the High Court in the fee matter. After the order of the High Court, a committee was formed and then the fee was determined. Now the fee for one year of MBBS has increased from 11 lakh to 16.48 lakh. MBBS fees have been increased in five colleges.

In this, the fee of Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Science Bareilly has been increased by 2.74 lakhs, Hind Institute Barabanki by 4 lakhs, Muzaffarnagar Medical College by 1 lakh, Rama Medical College and Hospital Kanpur by 5 thousand, Rajshree Medical College Bareilly by 2.5 lakhs. Now the fee for one year of BDS has become between 2.93 lakhs and 4.10 lakhs. In BDS, the fee of ITS Dental College Ghaziabad has been increased by 24 thousand rupees. In MD/MS also, the fee has increased by about 4 lakh rupees.

Hostel fee also increased

Hostel fee of private medical colleges has also been increased. For MBBS students, the fee of non-AC room has increased from 1.50 lakhs to 1.65 lakhs, AC from 1.75 lakhs to 1.92 lakhs. Miscellaneous fee has been increased from 90 thousand to 94 thousand.

For BDS students, the non-AC fee has been increased from 85 thousand to 93.50 thousand, AC from 1.05 lakh to 1.15 lakh per year and miscellaneous fees from 40 to 44 thousand. For MD/MS students, the non-AC single fee has been increased from 2.50 lakh to 2.75 lakh, AC double occupancy from 2.10 lakh to 2.31 lakh.
