Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Philippines are such countries where the cost of studying medicine is cheaper than India. There are many good universities for medical studies in countries like Russia, America, China, Poland.
Bangladesh
Neighboring country Bangladesh is also gradually becoming the choice of Indian medical students. Famous medical colleges in Bangladesh are – Bangladesh Medical College, Asian Medical College and BGC Trust Medical College.
Russia
Russia has been the choice of students from not only India but also many other countries for medical studies. Actually, the Russian government gives huge subsidy on medical studies. China

The infrastructure of medical education is also very good in the neighboring country Nepal. Here the cost of medical education and accommodation is much less than the private colleges of India. Here National Medical College, Nobel Medical College, Universal College of Medical Sciences, and Chitwan Medical College are good options to get MBBS degree.
If you are doing MBBS from abroad, then it is important to keep in mind these guidelines of NMC
- 54 months of study and 12 months of internship is mandatory.
- The course should be completed within 10 years of joining.
- The medium of study should also be English.
- The internship and exams have to be completed in the same country from whose university you have studied medicine.
You have to give this exam in India
If you want to become a doctor in India after studying medicine from abroad, then you can get a license to practice medicine in India only after passing the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE). Passing this test is very difficult. The rate of passing the test in one go has been found to be less than 20 percent.
