MCD seals 13 coaching centres amid students’ protest, Details here

Rau’s IAS Haadsa: Delhi Municipal Corporation woke up after the death of three students due to drowning in a coaching centre. On Sunday, MCD sealed 13 coaching centres. These coaching centres were running in basements. These centres were violating building bylaws and norms. The corporation says that this action will continue in future as well.

After the coaching accident in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi Municipal Corporation has woken up from its slumber. Now MCD has come into action mode. MCD has sealed 13 coaching centers located in the area. All these coaching centers were running illegally in the basement. Notices have also been pasted in the coaching centers. Along with this, a reply has also been sought from the coaching centers. MCD has pasted notices in many coaching centers of Delhi. At the same time, the case of death of 3 students has now reached Delhi High Court.

In the petition of Rashtriya Pravasi Manch, a demand has been made to make guidelines regarding the safety of students. Along with this, a demand has also been made to give proper compensation in case of an accident. At the same time, coaching students are protesting by raising slogans against MCD and the administration for the second consecutive day.

These coaching centers have been sealed

The coaching centres against which action has been taken in Old Rajendra Nagar include IAS Gurukul, Chahal Academy, Plutus Academy, Sai Trading, IAS Setu, Toppers Academy, Dainik Samvad, Civils Daily IAS, Career Power, 99 Notes, Vidya Guru, Guidance IAS and ‘Easy for IAS’. In a statement issued by the Delhi government, it has been said that these coaching centres were being run in the basement in violation of the rules. They have been sealed on the spot. Notices have also been pasted on the gates of these institutes. At the same time, Delhi Mayor Dr. Shelly Oberoi said that if needed, this campaign will be carried forward in the whole of Delhi.

High Power Committee will investigate the accident

Another MCD official said that Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi has held a meeting with the officials in this regard. She has talked to the Delhi government. After this, a high-level committee will be formed to investigate this incident.
