During this time, login to the website will not be possible. The old data on the website is being incorporated on the new portal. This work will continue till further notice. In the year 2012, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi was divided into three parts.
MCD website Close: MCD’s birth and death certificate website (https://mcdonline.nic.in/rbd/web/citizen/info) will remain closed for one hour every day. According to the corporation, after the integration of the corporation in 2022, the data of the three former corporations is being incorporated on a single portal.
Old data was still not available on the website
For this, the website will be kept closed from 11 pm to 12 pm till further notice. During this time, login to the website will not be possible. Officials said that the old data was still not available on the website. Due to this, people used to face trouble in downloading birth and death certificates.
In view of this, the data on the website is being corrected so that there is complete data on the website and citizens do not face any problem. It is noteworthy that in the year 2012, Delhi Municipal Corporation was divided into three parts. In this, North, East and South Corporation were created.
Data was on different servers and websites
In the year 2022, the central government again gave it the form of Delhi Municipal Corporation. During the division into three parts, all three corporations had created their own websites. After this, the data from 2012 to 2022 was on different servers and websites. Due to this, people’s records were not visible on it. Due to which the corporation is continuously working to improve the data.
The corporation had made the entire process of birth and death registration completely online about three years ago. Whether it is new birth and death registration or any kind of amendment in them, this entire process is online.
Last year, around 2.71 lakh birth registrations were done while 97,244 death registrations were done in the MCD area alone. There are mainly three local bodies in Delhi. MCD is the largest body in this. After MCD, there is New Delhi Municipal Council and then Delhi Cantt Board.
