Medical Colleges Fees Hike: MBBS fees in private medical colleges of Uttar Pradesh have increased from five thousand to four lakh rupees. Students will have to pay the increased fees in lump sum or in four installments. Colleges will not charge any late fee or interest on the outstanding amount. Principal Secretary of Medical Education Department Parth Sarathi Sen Sharma has issued an order in this regard.

Actually, a committee was formed to determine the fees in private medical colleges, but the fees were not increased due to lack of applications from the colleges. On this, UP Unaided Medical and Allied Science College Welfare Association appealed to the High Court in July. After the order of the High Court, the fees have been determined by forming a committee again. Now the fee for one year of MBBS has become between 11 lakh to 16.48 lakh.

Fees have been increased in these colleges

In MBBS course, fees have been increased in five colleges. In this, the fees have been increased by 2.74 lakhs in Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Science Bareilly, four lakhs in Hind Institute Barabanki, one lakh in Muzaffarnagar Medical College, five thousand in Rama Medical College and Hospital Kanpur and two and a half lakhs in Rajshree Medical College Bareilly. In other colleges, the pre-determined fees are applicable.

Fees increased by this much

In BDS, the fees have been increased by 70 thousand rupees in Sardar Patel Dental College Lucknow, 24 thousand rupees in ITS Dental College Ghaziabad, 42 thousand rupees in Saraswati Dental College Lucknow. In MD MS, the fees have been increased by 4.26 lakhs in clinical course in Rama Medical College and Hospital Kanpur, two lakhs in pathology, two lakhs in non-clinical, in Rajshree Medical College the fees have been increased by 4.19 lakhs in clinical course, 2.23 lakhs in pathology and 1.60 lakh rupees in non-clinical. Varunarjuna Medical College and Ruhilkhand Hospital Shahjahanpur’s clinical fees have been increased by Rs 2.5 lakh. Now the fee for clinical course has become between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh.

Hostel fees also increased

Hostel fees of private medical colleges have also been increased. For MBBS students, the fee of non-AC hostel has been increased from 1.50 to 1.65 lakh and AC from 1.75 to 1.92 lakh. Miscellaneous fees have been increased from 90 thousand to 94 thousand.

This is the increase in non-AC hostel

The fee of non-AC hostel for BDS students has been increased from 85 thousand to 93.50 thousand, AC from 1.05 lakh to 1.15 lakh annually and miscellaneous fees from 40 to 44 thousand. Similarly, the fee of non-AC single for MD-MS students has been increased from 2.50 lakh to 2.75 lakh, AC double occupancy from 2.10 lakh to 2.31 lakh.
