CBSE 12th Board Exams: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the meeting with other states on class 12th exams was good as they got very valuable suggestions. Nishank said that he has requested the state governments to send their detailed suggestions by 25 May.

The Education Minister further said that they will reach the decision related to Class 12th board examinations early and inform the students and parents about it and eliminate the uncertainty in them. He said that the safety of both students and teachers is of paramount importance to him.

Let us know that on Wednesday, the Education Minister held a high-level meeting with education ministers of all states, union territories, secretaries of the state board of examinations and chairpersons and stakeholders to discuss the 12th class board exams and entrance examinations of the Professional Courses. The process, method, duration and time of the examination were discussed in the meeting. Where there was a large agreement, but it was decided that the state and union territories have to consider the matter further and they will send their feedback in writing by 25 May.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the ministry will consider all suggestions and will take the final decision soon. He again emphasized that the priority of the government is to conduct all the examinations in a safe environment. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the postponement of Class XII examinations on 14 April and said that further information would be given to the students by 1 June.
