This cash prize can be from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore. Under this, common people can soon get a reward for uploading GST invoices on a mobile app.
When is the plan coming
Two officials aware of the matter told PTI that under the Invoice Incentive Scheme, cash rewards ranging from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore can be given to people who ‘upload’ on the app invoices received from retail or wholesale traders. How will the cash prize be given?
These bills can go into lucky draw on monthly or quarterly basis. For this, the government has also talked about implementing some conditions, such as every month 500 lucky draws will be drawn with the help of computers, in which customers can get a reward of lakhs of rupees. Apart from this, there will be 2 such lucky draws every three months, in which one can get a chance to win a prize of up to Rs 1 crore.

Why is this scheme being brought
This scheme is being introduced so that customers can be encouraged to take bills through their purchased items and most of the traders follow it. If more and more GST invoices are generated, then businessmen will be able to avoid tax evasion.
