Metro Closed: Big News ! These stations of Delhi Metro will remain closed from tomorrow till September 10, see the complete list here

G20 Summit impact on Delhi Metro: The Metro Unit of Delhi Police has decided to close the gates of several metro stations in view of the G20 Summit, which is scheduled to take place in the national capital from 8 to 10 September.

New Delhi: During the G20 Summit in the national capital from 8 to 10 September, the Metro Unit of Delhi Police has directed to close the gates of 39 metro stations. These open towards the VVIP route. Some stations, such as Supreme Court, Janpath, Bhikaji Cama Place, Khan Market, and Dhaula Kuan, have been designated as ‘sensitive’ stations.

The Metro Unit of Delhi Police has decided to close the gates of several metro stations in view of the G20 Summit, which is scheduled to be held in the national capital from September 8 to 10.

In total, the gates of 39 metro stations, which open towards the VVIP route, will be closed. Apart from this, some stations like Supreme Court, Janpath, Bhikaji Cama Place, Khan Market, and Dhaula Kuan have been designated as ‘sensitive’ stations.

According to the letter of DCP Metro G Ram Gopal Nayak, all the gates of Supreme Court Metro Station will remain closed from 8 to 10 September. At Khan Market station, gate numbers 1, 2, and 3 will be closed, while gate number 4 will remain open for entry and exit.

Gate number 2 of Kailash Colony station will be closed, and at Lajpat Nagar metro station, all gates except gate number 5 will be closed. In Janpath station declared as sensitive, only gate number 2 will be operational. Another sensitive station in the form of Bikaji Gama Palace has been directed to be closed.

However, there will be no restriction on entry and exit at Aero City, Dhaula Kuan, South Campus, Dwarka Sec-21, Panchsheel Park, Chirag Delhi, Greater Kailash, Nehru Enclave, Kalkaji Mandir, Rajiv Chowk, Chawri Bazar, and Chandni Chowk stations .

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has made ‘Tourist Smart Cards’ available for purchase at 36 Delhi Metro stations from 4 to 13 September. However, these cards are generally available throughout the year.
