Metro Ticket Service: To benefit groups and families traveling in Namma Metro, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has introduced QR group ticketing system to avoid long queues at ticket counters in metro stations.
Bangalore Metro has launched mobile QR code metro tickets for families and groups traveling together from November 16. Earlier this facility was only for single passenger.
This ticket can be accessed through different mobile applications like Namma Metro, Paytm, WhatsApp and Yatra.
Mobile QR ticket has been introduced to facilitate families and groups traveling together for a maximum of six passengers.
There is a 5 percent discount on mobile QR ticket token fare. To enter and exit, this QR ticket needs to be scanned only once for each person in the group.
Bangalore Metro has two lines – Purple Line and Green Line. The 43.49 km long Purple Line has 37 stations while the 30.32 km long Green Line has 29 stations.
