Delhi Metro Changes last train timings: Delhi Metro has increased the timings of the last metro train by 2 hours more today.
New Delhi: Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has increased the timing of the last metro train by 2 hours more. Under this, the last metro train on the Dwarka route on the Gray Line will be available till 1 pm instead of 11 pm. The corporation has extended the timing of the last train on almost all the routes. Along with this, about 48 additional trips of Metro will be made on all the routes. Metro Rail Corporation has said that this change has been made in view of the India South Africa match and this time change will be effective only till Tuesday, October 11.
South Africa cricket team is on tour to India for 3 day ODI series. The final i.e. third ODI match of the series is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. The match has started on Tuesday at 2 pm and will end late in the night. In such a situation, in order to provide transport service at night to the spectators who came to watch the match, the metro has increased the time of the last train from 30 minutes to 2 hours on all its lines of Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Magenta and Gray line routes. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, the maximum time of 2 hours has been extended on the grain line from Dwarka to Dhansa bus stand route. The last train time at Dwarka and Dhansa station is 11 PM. It has been changed today as the last metro timings at Dwarka station has been changed to 1 pm, while the last train timings at Dhansa station have been changed to 12:45 pm. Similarly, on Magenta Line, the last train on Janakpuri West Metro will be available at 12.40 pm and the last metro at Botanical Garden station will be available till 12.30 pm.
Delhi Metro will get the last metro at Kirtinagar station of Indralok-Kirtinagar route on Green Line till 12.30 am today. The last metro will be available at Inderlok station of the same route till 12.20 pm and at Brigadier Hoshiar Singh station till 11.30 pm. The last metro will be available till 11.25 pm at Noida Electronic City station on the Blue Line. The last metro train will be available at Vaishali station by 11.30 pm. Similarly, Metro has changed the timings on many other routes as well.
