Metro Timing Change: Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon is being organized on 20 October at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the country’s capital Delhi. A lot of people are going to participate in it. Keeping in mind the convenience of the participants, Delhi Metro has announced to start its services ahead of schedule on Sunday. Keeping in mind the marathon participants and spectators, trains will start from all terminal stations at 03:15 am. This change will be applicable on all lines except the Airport Express Line and the Grey Line.

Decision taken for the convenience of the people

According to Delhi Metro, for the convenience of passengers, trains will be available at an interval of 15 minutes between 03:15 am to 04:00 am this Sunday i.e. 20 October, for the convenience of passengers, then they will run at an interval of 20 minutes till 06:00, after which the regular metro schedule will resume. The decision to run the metro early in the morning was taken so that people can reach the marathon on time and avoid last minute rush.

Participants will get free tickets

To assist the participants of the marathon, volunteers will be deployed at various metro stations so that they can provide guidance and help and ensure that no one faces any problem. Runners participating in the half marathon on Sunday will be given free QR code tickets. The metro will operate at an interval of 15 minutes from 3:15 to 4 pm. Metro service will be available at an interval of 20 minutes between 4 am and 6 am.

Metros will be available on all corridors from 6 am at their scheduled time. For this purpose, participants will be given special wristbands with QR codes. With the help of the wristband QR code, you will be able to travel in the metro easily.
