According to the new rule, home buyers will have to pay maintenance charges only when they get the keys to the house. This will reduce the financial burden on home buyers.
MHADA News: Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has taken a relief decision for home buyers. According to the new rule, maintenance charge and property tax for houses and plots built at different places will be applicable from the date of taking possession of the house. This important decision taken under the leadership of MHADA Vice President and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal will be beneficial for the people who have won the lottery of MHADA houses in the state. This decision will also benefit those who are going to apply in the upcoming schemes.
Financial burden on home buyers will be reduced
Earlier, home buyers had to pay maintenance charges and taxes even before getting possession. This used to happen even if they were getting a delay in getting possession of the house. This used to happen because the house remained with MHADA until it was given to the buyer. But now according to the new rule, home buyers will have to pay maintenance charges only when they get the keys to the house. This will reduce the financial burden on home buyers.
Will not have to bear any kind of financial burden for the delay
Talking about this change, Jaiswal said, until the home buyers get the house, they will not have to bear any kind of financial burden for the delay. Jaiswal said, until the house is given to the buyers, the responsibility of the houses and plots will remain with MHADA. For homebuyers who already own a home and have to pay maintenance charges to their society, MHADA has announced that it will pay these fees directly to the society. The expenditure incurred for this will be adjusted in future housing schemes. However, this benefit will not apply to those who have already paid these fees.
To meet the outstanding payments of earlier months, MHADA has decided to use funds such as location-based premiums and estimated liabilities. This decision is expected to benefit thousands of beneficiaries who are waiting for possession of flats and plots under MHADA housing projects. This decision reflects MHADA’s commitment to fairness and transparency.
