Midcap Funds: In the year 2023, an investment of $ 209 billion has come so far in small and midcap mutual funds. It is expected to outperform in the coming times. Know which Midcap Fund has given the highest returns in 5 years.

Best Midcap Funds for 5 Years: The midcap index is at an all-time high in the historical boom of the stock market. Experts believe that midcaps will create more waves in the coming times. Jefferies said in its latest report that midcaps and smallcaps will outperform largecaps in the coming times. These companies are benefiting more from the jump in capex. Obviously its effect is also being seen on midcap mutual funds.

Tremendous inflow in midcap and smallcap funds

In the year 2023, an investment of $ 209 billion has come so far in small and midcap mutual funds. This is 1.7 times more than large and multicap. In particular, investment in smallcaps has increased by 53 per cent as compared to last year. Midcap fund investment has declined by 8 per cent in 1 year, but largecap fund investment registered the maximum decline of 95 per cent.

Invest for at least 5 years

In a special program of Money Guru, Hemant Rustagi, CEO of Wise Invest and Mohit Gang, CEO of Moneyfront said that midcap funds are out performing and are likely to do so further. However, investors should invest for at least 5 years. Investors are not to be affected by the ups and downs of the market. If you invest for 10-15 years then it will be better.

Up to 21% average return for 5 years

Talking about the top-5 midcap funds on the AMFI website, they have given an average return of 18-21% to lump sum investors over a period of 5 years. This data is based on performance till June 30. Quant Mid Cap Fund has given the highest returns. The five year average return of the category is close to 16 per cent while the average return of Nifty is a little over 17 per cent.

5.75 lakhs made from Rs 5000

Talking about the performance of Quant Mid Cap Fund, it has given a bumper return of 26.51 per cent on an annual basis to SIP investors. Its NAV is Rs 143 and the fund size is Rs 1973 crore. If an investor had started an SIP of Rs 5000 five years ago, his fund size would have been Rs 5.75 lakh. The total investment would have been Rs.3 lakh and the net return would have been Rs.2.75 lakh.
