Mithali Raj tops ODI rankings again, Smriti Mandhana reaches career best third place in T20Is

ICC Rankings: Mithali Raj, the captain of the Indian women’s ODI team, has once again reached the top of the ODI rankings. She has reached number-1 for the 9th time in her career. The ranking has been updated after the ODI series against West Indies and Pakistan.

Dubai. Indian captain Mithali Raj once again topped the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) latest women’s ODI batting rankings with 762 points. Left-handed batsman Smriti Mandhana is also included in the top-10 with ninth place. Mithali has become the number one batsman for the 9th time after reaching the top of the batsmen’s list for the first time more than 16 years ago. West Indies captain Stephanie Taylor, who is at the top of the previous rankings, has slipped to fifth place. The ranking has been updated after the series between Pakistan and West Indies. Taylor has lost 30 points.

In the bowlers’ list, Jhulan Goswami is the only Indian bowler in the top 10 with fifth position, while Deepti Sharma is at 10th position in the all-rounders’ ranking. In the Women’s T20 International Player Rankings, Indian opener Mandhana is at third place, equaling her career-best ranking. He scored 70 runs in the third and final T20I against England, which was his only match in the format last week.

Taylor loses all-rounders ranking

West Indies captain Taylor has lost 30 points in the weekly update on Tuesday. West Indies beat Pakistan 3-2 in the five-match series. Taylor got a chance to bat in two of the three matches during the weekly rankings. He scored 49 and 21 runs. Taylor, who rose to the top of the ODI rankings last week with an unbeaten century in the first match of the series, has also lost the top spot in the all-rounders’ list to Australia’s Ellyse Perry. Taylor did not get any wickets in three matches, due to which she also slipped three places in the all-rounders’ list.
