Google Pay is the second largest payment app in India. It is also known as GPay. This app has about 6 crore active users in India.

Media reports have claimed that now Google Pay has started charging a small charge in the name of mobile recharge. This charge is being taken in the name of Convenience Fee. However, when we checked, it did not appear so.
Extra charge up to Rs 3
A charge of up to Rs 3 can be charged from Google Pay in the name of Convenience Fee. A screenshot has been shared in media reports.

It is shown in the screenshots that the price of the plan is Rs 749 and an extra charge of Rs 3 has been taken in the name of Convenience Fee. After this a payment of Rs 752 was made.

A table has also appeared in media reports. In which some slabs are mentioned. There will be no charge on recharge up to Rs 100.
Charge of Rs 1 to 3
Recharge of Rs 101 to Rs 200 will be charged at Rs 1, Recharge of Rs 201 to Rs 300 and Rs 3 will be charged on recharge above Rs 301.
