On Monday 26 August, on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami (Shravan Vad-8) Krishna Jayanti, banks will remain closed in some states. This count includes banks of Gujarat, Odisha, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Srinagar.
