At present, there is still a large number of people who do not have a smartphone. Meaning, a large population uses feature phones, which is far away from internet facilities. For such mobile users, the National Payment Corporation of India i.e. NPCI has provided the facility of online payment without smartphone and internet.
Transfer money without smartphone and internet
In such a situation, if you do not have a smartphone. Or if internet is not available in the phone, then you can make online payment without smartphone and internet. In this, UPI payment can be done using UPI123Pay. To make UPI payment without internet, USSD service should be active in your phone. Also, there should be money in your bank account. Let us tell you that without internet the limit for UPI payment is ₹ 2000 per transaction and ₹ 10000 per day.

This is NPCI’s feature phone based UPI payment service.
How to make UPI payment
- First of all dial 99# on your phone.
- After this you will have to select 1 option.
- Then you have to select the type of transaction.
- After this, enter the UPI ID, phone number or bank account number of the UPI account on which you want to send money.
- Then enter the amount of payment to be sent.
- Enter your UPI PIN.
- After this tap on “Send”.
Note – Let us tell you that only some banks provide the facility to make UPI payment without internet through USSD code.
