MSP announced for Kharif crops, know who got the highest price

To increase the production of pulses and oilseeds in the country, the government has increased the MSP of both the most. The minimum support price of sesame has been increased by Rs 452 per quintal.




MSP Declared For Kharif Crops: The Central Government on Wednesday announced the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Kharif crops. In the cabinet meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi, the support price of paddy was increased by Rs 72 per quintal. Its MSP will now be Rs 1940 per quintal during 2021-22. In the meeting, the MSP of pulses, oilseeds and cereals has been increased substantially. The highest MSP has been increased for sesame. The MSP of sesame has been increased by Rs 452 per quintal.

Increase in MSP of coarse cereals
The MSP of the medium staple of cotton has been increased by Rs 211 to Rs 5,726 per quintal. On the other hand, the MSP of long staple cotton has been increased by Rs 200 to Rs 6025 per quintal. In coarse cereals, the MSP of jowar has been increased by Rs 118 per quintal. Now its MSP will be Rs 2620 per quintal. MSP of millet has increased by Rs 100 to Rs 2250 per quintal. The MSP of Ragi has increased by Rs 82 to Rs 3,377. Last year its price was Rs 3,295 per quintal. The MSP of maize has increased by only Rs 20. Its price is Rs 1850 per quintal.

Pulses and oilseeds got attention
In order to boost the production of pulses and oilseeds in the country, the government has increased the MSP of tur dal by Rs 300 per quintal. The MSP of Arhar Dal is now Rs 6300 per quintal. The MSP of urad dal has also increased to Rs 6300 per quintal. MSP of moong dal has been increased to Rs 7275 per quint. Last year it was Rs 7196 per quintal. In oilseeds, the maximum increase in the MSP of sesame has been made by Rs 452. Now the MSP of sesame has gone up to Rs 7,307 per quintal. Groundnut MSP has increased by Rs 275 and has reached Rs 5550 per quintal. The MSP of sunflower has been increased by Rs 130 to Rs 6015 per quintal.
