The meeting of the Union Cabinet was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In which the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy was increased by Rs 72 per quintal.
The Government of India raised the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy by Rs 72 to Rs 1,940 per quintal for the crop year 2021-22, from Rs 1,868 per quintal last year. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that today (June 09) a meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to declare MSP of Kharif crops. The price of paddy which is of normal level was Rs 1868 per quintal, in 2021-22 it has become Rs 1940 per quintal. He said that minimum support prices for agricultural crops are being increased and it will continue to increase in future also.
