Mayor Kishori Pednekar said, “The way congestion is increasing in religious places, markets and local trains and the rapid increase in the number of patients in Mumbai for some time, it seems that there is a need for partial ban. . Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will decide in this regard by discussing with BMC soon.

Corona patients are getting between 1,100 and 1,500 daily since 14 February in Mumbai. This number is the highest since October, 2020. In view of this, the Mayor said, ‘We hope that the situation in Mumbai will improve again soon. If the situation worsens, some tough restrictions will have to be imposed.

71% new cases in the

country With 23,285 new cases of corona infection reported in two states, the number of its active cases in the country has crossed two lakhs. This has happened after about two months. Of the new cases reported during the last 24 hours on Friday, around 71 percent are from Maharashtra and Kerala.
