Gurugram: The municipal corporation has taken over the responsibility of liquid medical oxygen supply management in the city. For this, there will be a call center, which will work 24 hours seven days a week and teams will also be formed for supply management work. Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh held a meeting with the municipal authorities on Tuesday and gave necessary guidelines for oxygen supply management. He said that the government has allocated liquid medical oxygen to Gurugram at the rate of 35 tonnes per day. In this, 20 tonnes of Inax company is being received from Bhiwadi Rajasthan and 15 tonnes of Air Liquid Company from Panipat.

The corporation commissioner said that 20 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen company coming from Inax Bhiwadi would be sent daily from its tankers. It will be distributed to hospitals in Gurugram that have their own oxygen tanks. These include Medanta, Fortis, Artemis, Max, Park, Metro and other hospitals. If there is a shortage of the company’s vehicles in its supply, then other vehicles will also be fitted for it. He informed that the quota of these hospitals has been fixed.




The corporation commissioner said that the tankers would be arranged by the administration to bring the 15 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen allocated from the air liquid company. These tankers will carry oxygen from Panipat to three gas refilling stations in Gurugram. These include Star Gases and Maxcare in Manesar and GK Industries’ gas refilling stations in Sector 16.

These refilling stations will deliver oxygen through cylinders to hospitals that do not have oxygen tanks. There will also be a system of personal delivery from these stations. The municipal commissioner said that there would be municipal teams for liquid medical oxygen supply management, which would take charge of all three gas refilling stations of Gurugram district including Panipat, Bhiwadi.

The corporator said that the supply and distribution of liquid medical oxygen will be done on time, so that there is no untoward incident. He said that this work will be done on priority basis.
