UP News: A youth was beaten to death with sticks in Jhangha police station area of Gorakhpur district. The charge of murder is on the groom’s father and his maternal uncle. Police has arrested one accused.
In a village under Jhangha police station area of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, during the ritual of ‘parchawan’ before the procession, the youth of the village, Sangam Yadav, was beaten to death. The charge of murder is on the groom’s family members, his maternal uncle and son. Police has arrested one accused. Police have been deployed for security in the village. After the lynching of the young man, there is panic in the surrounding village.
According to the information, Indal Chauhan, son of Subhash Chauhan of the village, had Tilak a week ago. Sangam was also involved in Tilak. While washing hands after eating food, water fell on the groom’s maternal uncle, over whom there was a fight. When Indal Chauhan’s procession was going to Khajni’s Unwal at 7 pm on Wednesday. Sangam had also come in Parachavan. During this, the groom Indal’s maternal uncle, his son and others had beaten to death the Sangam with sticks due to the dispute in Tilak.
The police reached the information and sent the body for postmortem. Sangam Yadav got married a year back. After the murder, the procession left for marriage. On the complaint of the father of the deceased, the police has registered an FIR against nine people including the groom. On the other hand, when Khajni reached Unwal procession, the bride refused to marry. The police reached the spot and arrested the groom Indal Chauhan.
Police is on the lookout for the named accused groom’s father Subhash Chauhan, his sister Sandhya, Nisha, mother Bhagwanta, maternal uncle Ramkumar Chauhan, Shyam Sundar, Basant and Motilal. The police have registered a case of murder and assault against all the accused.
In this case, Gorakhpur SSP Dr. Vipin Tada told that in a village of Jhangha police station area, there was a fight between the two parties during the procession. Where a young man from the village died due to beating. When the police reached the spot, both the parties were separated. The injured youth was sent to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Police arrested one accused. The body has been sent for postmortem to know the exact cause of death.
