Namo Bharat: Now Namo Bharat train will run till New Ashok Nagar; main work completed

Power supply started at these stations

Power supply has also been started at Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar stations on Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor. For this, the auxiliary sub stations (ASS) installed in these stations have been charged to a capacity of 33 kV.

Currently, for power supply in these stations, a 33 kV capacity cable has been brought from Ghaziabad Receiving Sub Station (RSS) to Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar stations through viaduct and tunnel.

Now construction work is in the final stage

It was told that in the coming time, power supply to Delhi section will be done from Sarai Kale Khan Receiving Sub Station (RSS), whose construction work is in the final stage. Power supply to Sarai Kale Khan RSS will be done from the grid of Delhi Transco Limited and Gas Turbine Power Station (GTPS) located at IP State.

ASS room ready at Sarai Kale Khan station

ASS room has also been completed at Delhi section’s largest Sarai Kale Khan station and it will also be charged soon. Five receiving sub-stations (RSS) are being constructed on the RRTS corridor between Delhi and Meerut, out of which Ghaziabad, Muradnagar and Shatabdi Nagar (Meerut) RSSs have been completed, while power supply will also be started from Sarai Kale Khan RSS soon.

In the fifth phase, operations will be extended to Meerut Modipuram

In addition, the fifth RSS is under construction at Modipuram (Meerut). Trial runs are going on uninterrupted in the Delhi section from New Ashok Nagar to Sahibabad. After the operation of this section begins, the operational section of the corridor will expand to 54 km.

The number of passengers will increase

This section will connect important stations like Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar, which will also increase the number of passengers in the National Capital Region (NCR).
