Namo Bharat Rapid Rai: Now Namo Bharat train trial will start soon on this route, Details here

The track of one line (down line) from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar section of the Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) corridor has been ready. The pace of laying track on the second line has also been accelerated.

Namo Bharat train network is rapidly expanding in Delhi-NCR. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has expedited the construction work to conduct the trial of Namo Bharat train from Sahibabad in Ghaziabad district to New Ashok Nagar station in Delhi. NCRTC Chief Public Relations Officer Puneet Vats said that the trial of the train will start in November. After this, the train will start for passengers in December or January.

The track of one line (down line) from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar section of the Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) corridor was ready. The pace of laying track on the second line has been accelerated. With this it will be connected to Sahibabad, Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar stations.

The length of RRTS corridor in Delhi is 14 kilometers. Out of this, nine kilometer portion is elevated and five kilometer portion is underground. Both sections are almost ready. The Delhi section has three stations, Sarai Kale Khan, New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar (underground). At present their work is in the final stages. Track laying work has started along with electric traction and signaling works between New Ashok Nagar station and Sahibabad.

Passengers’ convenience is being taken care of

For the convenience of passengers, Sarai Kale Khan station has been designed to integrate with transport modes like ISBT, Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and Delhi Metro Pink Line. RRTS is constructing a 280 meter long FOB to connect the station to Hazrat Nizamuddin station. New Ashok Nagar station is being integrated with Ashok Nagar metro station. The metro station will be connected by a 90 meter long FOB. Two other FOBs are also being constructed. It will connect the area around Chilla village and Mayur Vihar Extension. The second FOB will provide convenience to passengers near Shiv Temple in New Ashok Nagar.
