CMRC may give approval to run trains on the second section this week. Namo Bharat train is currently being operated for passengers on a 17 km long section from Sahibabad to Duhai depot. This section has Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot stations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the primary section in October. Presently the trial of the train is going on from Duhai to Meerut South station. The second section is 25 kilometers long. This section has Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North and Meerut South stations. Both the stations of Muradnagar and Modinagar are ready. Work is going on at a rapid pace including the entry and exit gates of the station.

Safety inspection reaches final stage: Fitness of train equipment tested during trial run. In this section, trains are being run at different speeds throughout the length. Trials of train signalling, platform screen doors (PSD), overhead supplies etc. are being conducted. During this period no flaw was revealed. At present, rail safety inspection is going on on section two. It is expected to be completed in two to three days.

Preparation to run on the second section in 8 to 10 days: After completion of rail safety inspection, approval to run the train on the second section can be obtained this week. After this the date of inauguration will be decided. Keeping this in mind, ANISRTC has started preparations. Sources said that it will be inaugurated within 8 to 10 days.

Three thousand people are traveling daily: The train is being operated on the primary section of RRTS since October. Trains are running on this section from 6 am to 11 pm. About three thousand passengers are traveling in the train every day. The number of passengers will increase after the train runs till Modinagar. After Ghaziabad, Namo Bharat will run in Meerut. After this it will operate in Delhi. Currently, construction work is going on at a rapid pace in Meerut and Delhi. Metro will also run on the Rapid track inside Meerut city. Meerut Metro has reached Duhai depot.

The train will not run today or tomorrow

Namo Bharat train will not run for passengers on Saturday and Sunday. Train operations on the primary section will be completely stopped. The signaling of the primary segment is being connected to the secondary segment. Due to this, train operations have been stopped. Train operations for passengers will start at scheduled time on Monday.

Prime Minister can inaugurate

Prime Minister Narendra Modi can also inaugurate the second section of Namo Bharat. Preparations are also going on for the Prime Minister’s arrival. In view of this, a few days ago Meerut Commissioner Selva Kumari J. had also inspected Duhai depot. It is being told that soon government and NCRTC officials may also come here to inspect the corridor. About three thousand passengers are traveling in Namo Bharat train every day.

Will run in a 17 kilometer long section

The distance from Duhai to Modinagar North Station is 17 kilometers. Beyond this is Meerut South station. NCRTC had earlier planned to run the train only till Meerut South station, but there is very little left at that station. In such a situation, the train can now run till Modinagar North station. In the second week of March, the train will run on all seven stations of the district. In this way, it will start running on a total of 34 km long corridor in Ghaziabad.
