Preparations have been completed to run the Namo Bharat train from Modinagar to Meerut South station. The station has also been completed. Along with this, the Metro Rail Safety Commissioner has also given permission to run the train.
Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Train: Preparations to run the Namo Bharat train from Modinagar to Meerut South Station have been completed. Meerut South Station is also ready. Along with this, the Metro Rail Safety Commissioner has also given permission to operate the train, but the date of operation of the train has not been decided yet.
Namo Bharat train is currently running from Sahibabad to Modinagar North station. In the first phase, the train was operated from Sahibabad to Duhai depot. After this, the second section was opened from Duhai to Modinagar North station.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has completed preparations to run the train from Modinagar to Meerut South station. Parking has been made for parking vehicles. Signals and platforms have been built. All the formalities before running the train have been completed. Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety has also given permission to run the train. The wait of passengers is increasing as the date of inauguration has not been decided.
NCRTC CPRO Puneet Vats said that preparations have been completed to run the train till Meerut South. The operation of the train will start soon.
This section of the train is 42 km long
After operating till Meerut South station, the train will start running on a 42 km long section. Till now the train is running on a 34 km long section. After the train starts running from Meerut, the number of passengers traveling will also increase. This will make the journey easier for the people of Meerut. So far more than one million people have traveled by train.
Speed of construction work increased in Delhi
The speed of construction work of Namo Bharat RRTS Corridor has also been increased in Delhi. After Meerut South, the train will be operated from Sahibabad to Delhi. For this, the work of laying tracks and building stations is being done rapidly. Four tunnels have been constructed for the movement of trains on both sides from Anand Vihar underground station.
NCRTC CPRO Puneet Vats said, “All preparations have been completed to run the train till Meerut South station. The train will start operating soon. Permission to run the train has been received from the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety.”
