A great scheme has been started for the passengers traveling in Namo Bharat trains. NCRTC (National Capital Region Transport Corporation) has recently launched a new loyalty points program, under which passengers can earn one loyalty point for every rupee spent on their travel.
Opportunity to travel free in Namo Bharat trains
Points can be redeemed for free travel when a minimum of 300 points are accumulated. Passengers can book digital QR tickets using the Namo Bharat app or pay with the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC). For every rupee spent, one loyalty point will be awarded, which will be worth 10 paise.
For example, if a passenger pays a fare of Rs 100, he will get 100 loyalty points, whose total value will be Rs 10. To ensure that passengers do not face any difficulty in redeeming their loyalty points repeatedly, a provision has been made to redeem up to 5 trips simultaneously. The redeemed trips will be valid for 7 days.
NCMC users can check their accumulated points at Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs), ticket readers or counters. This facility is available with NCMC cards issued by any bank or transport authority. At the same time, passengers booking tickets through the Namo Bharat App can easily view and redeem their points.
New users will get a welcome bonus of 50 (500 loyalty points) on downloading the Namo Bharat app. Apart from this, under the referral program, users can refer the app to their friends and earn additional 500 loyalty points. This initiative of NCRTC will not only benefit the passengers financially, but will also promote paperless ticketing.
