National Common Mobility Card: New Update! Toll tax, parking, metro travel...this card will be used everywhere, know its benefits.

The government is going to launch the National Common Mobility Card soon. This will work just like One Nation One Ration Card. With its help you can pay everything from parking to toll tax…

People traveling by public transport in Delhi will soon be able to use the same card to buy bus tickets and travel in the metro. Delhi government will make its system National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) compliant in buses operated by DTC and Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS). More transit options will be added in the coming years to make travel more convenient. A bid was made for this, which is still technically under investigation. An official informed that soon work will be done to implement this process on the ground.

According to a senior official, tenders were issued a few months ago and the department has technically scrutinized all the bids submitted. “We also asked bidders to conduct demo sessions for a few days and the results have also been evaluated,” the official said. Now the work will be given within a week. Once the work is allotted, the project will be implemented on the ground in about three months. ,

The main objective of the Common Mobility Card will be to eliminate the ticket system and bring the facility of One-Nation-One-Card.

According to a report by Indian Express, on an average 40 lakh people travel in buses daily in Delhi. It is extremely important that records of each journey are maintained for better planning of bus numbers on more than 500 bus routes in Delhi. Officials said the digital ticketing solution is also part of the route rationalization study conducted by the transport department, the pilot phase of which is in progress from October 2022.
