NEET 2024 Tie breaking: How will tie breaking happen in NEET?

If two or more students get equal marks or percentile score in NEET (UG) 2024 examination, then their NEET Rank will be decided as per the following process-

1. Biology marks: First of all it will be seen who among these students has obtained more marks or percentile score in the subject of Biology (Botany and Zoology). The candidate having higher score will be given higher rank.

2. Chemistry marks: If marks are equal in Biology also, then performance will be seen in Chemistry paper. The one who has scored more marks in Chemistry will be given a better rank.

3. Physics marks: If marks in Chemistry are same, then Physics marks will be taken as the basis. The candidate who has scored more marks in Physics will be given a higher rank.

4. Ratio of wrong and correct answers: If the marks remain same in the above three subjects, then the ratio of wrong and correct answers in the total questions given in the examination will be seen. The student who has less proportion of wrong answers in total questions will be given a better NEET rank.

5. Ratio of wrong and correct answers in Biology: If the overall ratio of wrong and correct answers is also the same, then the ratio of wrong and correct answers given only in Biology (Botany and Zoology) questions will be seen. The one whose ratio is less will be given higher NEET rank.

6. Ratio of wrong and right answers in Chemistry: If the ratio is same in Biology also, then the ratio of wrong and right answers given in Chemistry questions will be seen. The candidate with the lower ratio will be put forward.

7. Ratio of wrong and correct answers in Physics: Finally, if the ratio is same in Chemistry, then the ratio of wrong and correct answers given in Physics paper will be applied. The candidate with lower ratio will be ahead in NEET ranking.
