Netflix Rs 149 mobile-only plan
As the name of this plan suggests, Netflix can only be accessed on a tablet or smartphone with this plan. The company had introduced this entry-level plan for Rs 149 last year (2022). In the Rs 149 mobile-only plan, users can access content on a single screen at a time. This is a mobile plan so users will not be able to play Netflix on Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast or any large screen gadget TV, laptop.
In this plan of Netflix, content can be streamed at 480 pixels. This plan is especially useful for those who watch content through their mobile phones only. Users will have to pay a total of Rs 1,788 for this monthly plan in a year.
Netflix Basic Rs 199 plan
If you access content on devices other than your phone, such as a tablet, computer or TV, then the Rs 199 plan is for you. But Netflix will run on only one screen at a time. In this plan, there is an option to stream the content in HD resolution. And in a year users will have to pay Rs 2,388 for this plan.
Netflix Standard Rs 499 plan
Unlike the Rs 199 plan, Netflix’s Rs 499 plan allows content access on two devices simultaneously. Users can view content at 1080p FullHD resolution. Along with this, users can also download their favorite movies and TV shows on two devices. The annual cost of this plan is Rs 5,988.
Netflix Premium Rs 649 plan
The Rs 649 Netflix plan is a family plan in a way. Content can be accessed on 4 screens simultaneously in this plan. Content can be streamed in Ultra HD (4K) in this plan. However, users can watch downloaded movies and TV shows on up to 6 devices simultaneously in addition to Netflix Spatial Audio support with the premium plan. For this premium plan, users will have to pay Rs 7,788 in a year.
Ad-Supported Netflix Plan
Netflix launches its ad-supported plans in several countries in October 2022. However, these plans have not been launched in India yet and are available in 12 countries for around Rs.575. This ad-supported plan from Netflix is available in the US, UK, Australia, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and Korea. In this plan, users get to see an ad of 4 to 5 minutes in an hour and it can vary according to the content. And each ad is 15 to 30 seconds long. Users can pause ads but there is no option to skip or fast forward.
