New Airport Rules: Now soon you will be able to travel by air from this airport without passport and ID card, rules are going to change

This is not just a pipe dream, all this is going to be possible very soon at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport.

New Airport Rules: Air travel can be convenient and exciting as well as troublesome for many people. The process from reaching the airport to boarding the flight is a bit troublesome. After passing several security processes like checking of passport and ID to all luggage, passengers are able to board the flight. But if it is possible to skip the check-in and boarding process without showing passport and ID. This is not just a pipe dream, all this is going to be possible very soon at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi.

The hassle of showing passport-ID will end

According to a CNN report, air travel at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport is going to change very soon. Through the Innovative Smart Travel Project, the airport will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology by 2025. Biometric sensors will be installed at every check point from arrival to exit at the airport. This will make the travel experience more safe, convenient and faster.

Andrew Murphy, the airport’s chief information officer, said, “It has been designed without the need for pre-registration. Through this technology, passengers are automatically identified and authenticated as they pass through the airport, making the whole process much faster. People will be able to reach the retail area or gate in less than 15 minutes. It is unprecedented to be able to pass through such a large airport in a few minutes.”

This technology is implemented in some parts

This technology is already being used in some parts of Zayed International Airport. This technology is being used especially in flights operated by partner airline Etihad. In an October 2023 survey by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), 75 percent of passengers said they would prefer to use biometric data instead of paper passports and boarding passes.
