This is a security measure through which customers can instantly lock and unlock banking services. Customers can do this work without the help of customer care executive through phone or e-mail. Smartlock can lock and unlock many banking services.
The iMobile Pay app will help customers to lock and unlock. It helps customers to lock/unlock access to internet banking, UPI (payment from other UPI apps linked to the bank account), credit and debit cards by clicking a button. ‘Smartlock’, the first solution of its kind in the Indian banking area, also allows customers to lock/unlock iMobile Pay.
Customers can use this service to activate and deactivate a particular banking service during a certain period. They can also use it in case of potentially fraudulent transactions.
Speaking about SmartLock, Siddharth Mishra, Head Digital Channels and Partnerships, ICICI Bank said that the launch of ‘SmartLock’ is another effort by the bank to strengthen the security of customer accounts and protect their interests. This Do-It-Yourself (DIY) facility allows customers to access banking services with enhanced security at one place with their own hands.
How to use the ‘SmartLock’ service:
Step 1: Log in to iMobile Pay.
Step 2: Click on the ‘SmartLock’ service on the bottom right corner of the home screen.
Step 3: Click on the key banking services you wish to lock/unlock.
Step 4: Swipe to verify
To start using ‘iMobile Pay’, customers of any bank can link their bank account to the app, generate a UPI ID and start transacting.
