Competition is continuously increasing in the electric scooter segment. Now Bengaluru based startup Simple Energy has today launched its second electric scooter Simple Dot One in the domestic market. With the arrival of this new electric scooter in the market, the competition has become even tougher for the segment leaders Ola and Ather. Actually, the company has introduced this scooter at a starting price of Rs 99,999 which will be applicable for pre-booking units. Customers can book this scooter through the official website of the company.

At present, the company has introduced this scooter with an introductory price, which will be applicable for pre-booked units. Obviously the company will increase its price in the near future. Its prices for new customers will be announced in the month of January. The company has introduced Simple Dot One with a fixed battery back, as was seen in the company’s first scooter also.

Battery Range and Performance:

In Simple Dot One, the company has given a battery pack of 3.7 kWh capacity, about which it is being claimed that this scooter will give a driving range of up to 151 kilometers in a single charge. Available in a total of 4 colors (Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White and Azure Blue), the Dot One comes with a 750W charger. The company will deliver this scooter in a phased manner, that is, this scooter will reach the customers in a phased manner, its delivery will be started first in Bengaluru.

Speed in 2.77 seconds:

In this scooter, the company has used an electric motor of 8.5kW capacity which generates torque of 72Nm. Specially designed tubeless tires have been used for this scooter, which has been presented with 12 inch wheels. The company claims that this scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in just 2.77 seconds.

As a feature, this scooter has been provided with 35-litre under-seat storage in which you can keep your necessary items. Apart from this, the facility of app connectivity has also been provided to operate a touchscreen instrument cluster and other features.
