New Expressway: This second largest expressway of the country is going to be special in many ways. Because, it will make the journey from Gujarat to Punjab and then to Kashmir easier. The total length of this expressway will be 1316 km, and it will also be linked to the Delhi-Katra Expressway.
New Expressway: There is a lot of talk about the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in the country, but apart from this, there are many other expressways which will save both travel time and money. The Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway is also one of them. It is likely to start by next year.
The special thing is that the Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway is the second largest expressway in the country. While the length of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is 1350 km, the length of this expressway is 1316 km.
At present, the distance from Amritsar to Jamnagar is 1,516 km, which takes 26 hours to complete. But, with the construction of this expressway, the distance will be reduced by 216 km and the journey from Amritsar to Jamnagar will be completed in 13 hours.
Now the question is how will the journey be completed in 13 hours by reducing the distance by 216 kilometers, the answer to this is the speed of vehicles on this expressway. Actually, vehicles can be run at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour on the Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway.
Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway will further improve road connectivity between Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Gujarat. The special thing is that this expressway will also be linked to Delhi-Katra Expressway.
In such a situation, travelling from Gujarat to Kashmir will also become easier. It will pass through thousands of villages and important cities of 4 states like Bhatinda, Moga, Hanumangarh, Suratgarh, Bikaner, Nagaur, Jodhpur, Barmer and Jamnagar.
The Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway will cross hundreds of kilometres of desert in Rajasthan and Haryana. 500 kilometres of this expressway will pass through Rajasthan. Due to this expressway, many industrial cities of Punjab and Haryana will be directly connected to the industrial cities of Gujarat.
