Delhi-Dehradun Expressway Update: There is good news for people waiting to travel on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of this expressway on 17 December.
Delhi-Dehradun Expressway: Before the assembly elections, Delhiites are going to get a big gift. You will not have to travel for the whole day to reach Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand from the country’s capital Delhi. Soon the dream of completing the journey from Delhi to Dehradun in just two and a half hours is going to come true soon. On December 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the first phase of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. After the inauguration of the first phase, vehicles will start running on the entire expressway in 2025.
264 km journey in just 2.5 hours
Most of the work of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway has been completed. After the full completion of this expressway, Delhiites will be able to board it from Akshardham and the 264 km journey will be completed in just 2.5 hours. This is the first expressway in the country which has been made wildlife friendly. This expressway project was started in the year 2021.
19 km elevated road in Delhi
This expressway will start from Akshardham and connect to Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE). Those going on this expressway from UP have been given an entry point near Mandola. Apart from this, entry can also be made from Vijay Vihar and 5 Pushta Road.
Asia’s largest wildlife corridor
Before reaching Dehradun, you will also find a 12 km long elevated road, which is being called a wildlife corridor. It will pass over dense forests and you can also see wild animals. This corridor will pass through Rajaji National Park.
