Delhi Dehradun Expressway: Two sections of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway are ready for inauguration. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it. New Expressway: Two sections of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway are ready for inauguration. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it. Time has been sought from the Prime Minister’s Office for this. There is a possibility of the expressway being inaugurated before the announcement of the Delhi Assembly elections. In such a situation, the inauguration is expected in the last week of December or the first week of January.
Both sections of the expressway are 32 km long. 17 km of the Delhi section has been made elevated. The remaining 15 km is in the border of Ghaziabad and Baghpat. The work of the expressway has been divided into two sections. The expressway has been connected to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway at Mavikala village near Baghpat. Both sections of the expressway have been completed.
NHAI has completed all the preparations for the inauguration. Heavy vehicles were driven on the expressway recently. The load was checked in this way. No flaw was found in it. The safety audit has also been completed. The expressway has met the safety standards. Other tests have also been completed.
Ready from Akshardham to Baghpat: The expressway is from Akshardham to Laxminagar, Geeta Colony, Lohe Ka Pul (Kailash Colony), Shastri Park New Usmanpur, Kartarnagar, Khajuri Khas Chowk, Biharipur, Ankur Vihar, Sharda City, Pavi Pushta (Loni), Mandola NBCC Township to Bapgat Ke (Mavikala). The expressway has been connected to the Eastern Peripheral in Baghpat. The Eastern Peripheral is already connected to the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
NHAI Chairman has inspected: NHAI Chairman Santosh Yadav had inspected the expressway recently. He instructed the officials to install signboards at many places. All these works have to be done before the inauguration. All these works will be completed in ten days. This project was to be completed in the year 2023, but the work of both sections of the expressway got delayed. Earlier the completion of the work was claimed to be on 31 March. After this, the dates of 15 May and 15 August were fixed.
Preparations to get the inauguration done by the Prime Minister
Sources said that the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will also be with him. The date of inauguration is to be decided by the PMO. The expressway is to be inaugurated before the announcement of Delhi Assembly elections.
NHAI Project Director Dheeraj Singh said, “Two sections of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway are ready for inauguration. The inauguration is expected in the last week of December or the first week of January before the announcement of the Delhi Assembly elections. All inspections of the expressway have been completed. No flaw has been found anywhere.”
