New Expressway: Faridabad to Ghaziabad in just 30 minutes, government approves new expressway

FNG Expressway- Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway has been approved by the Haryana government, which will make the journey from Faridabad to Ghaziabad complete in 30 minutes. This 56 km long expressway will reduce traffic jams in NCR.

New Delhi. The Haryana government has finally approved the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) Expressway. This 56 km long and six lane wide expressway was planned almost two decades ago, but its construction was stuck due to delay in approval from the Haryana government. This expressway will connect Ghaziabad, Noida, Greater Noida and Faridabad, which will improve connectivity between these cities and reduce the problem of traffic jams. The construction of this expressway will not only reduce the time to travel between the cities of NCR, but it will also reduce the load of vehicles in Delhi. With its construction, people going from Faridabad to Ghaziabad or Noida will not have to enter Delhi. With the construction of this expressway, it will take only half an hour to go from Faridabad to Ghaziabad.

At present, to go from Faridabad to Noida, passengers have to travel a long distance via Kalindi Kunj in Delhi, which leads to heavy traffic and consumes more time. The Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway will provide a direct and smooth route. This will provide direct connectivity from Faridabad to Uttar Pradesh. Its construction will not only reduce the problem of traffic jams in NCR, but will also strengthen the infrastructure of the entire region. The Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway is expected to be completed by 2027.

Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway Route

The Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad Expressway will start from near Maa Amrita Hospital in Greater Faridabad and will cross the Yamuna near Lalpur village on the banks of the Yamuna and enter Noida. For this, a bridge of about 600 meters will be constructed near Lalpur on the Yamuna river. The Haryana and Uttar Pradesh governments will jointly bear 50-50 percent of the cost of this bridge. Both the states have jointly formulated a strategy to complete this project soon, which will make travel between UP and Haryana more convenient.

56 km length

The total length of the FNG Expressway will be 56 km and it will be developed as a six-lane road. There is also a plan to expand it to eight lanes if required. The total cost of this project has been estimated to be around ₹633 crore. Multi-level interchanges and flyovers will be built on the expressway, so that traffic can run smoothly. Paved shoulders (emergency lanes) will be arranged on both sides, so that there is a place to park broken-down vehicles. An advanced drainage system will be developed to avoid the problem of waterlogging.
