New Expressway: Good news: Vehicles will run fast on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway this month, work is complete

Let us tell you that the deadline for the construction work of this expressway in the district boundary was September, but it could not be completed. It is one of the longest expressways in the country. Its total length is 1350 km. This will make it possible to travel from Delhi to Mumbai in 12 hours. On 12 February 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sohna-Dausa section of the Delhi Mumbai Expressway.

It is claimed that the work of the section from DND flyover to Kalindi Kunj will be completed by March 2025. The Delhi to Mumbai Expressway is starting from Delhi’s DND flyover. The expressway is ready ahead of Sector-62, Sahupura turn, traffic has also started. Now work is going on on the expressway from DND flyover to Sahupura turn.

According to the officials, the work of the section from Kalindi Kunj to Sector-62 has been completed. Underpasses have been built everywhere. Approach roads for all of them have been built. Elevated road has been built in front of Aitmadpur and Baroli. Work on the service road is also complete. Iron railings have been installed on the right and left.

Points have been made here too

Entry and exit points have been made on the bypass at Sector-30 Aitmadpur, Sector-28, Baselwa Colony, Khedipul, near BPTP bridge, Sector-2, Sector-2 IMT. Underpasses have been made at all these places. The construction company has made entry and exit points around the underpasses.

Six lane service road on both sides of the expressway

The expressway has been made of a total of 12 lanes. The main carriageway is of six lanes while the service roads on the right and left are also of three lanes each. Through this service lane, drivers will be able to use the main carriageway.

Work is being done in three parts

The construction of the expressway is being done in three parts. There is a 59 km stretch between Delhi’s DND flyover and Mindkola village. Under part one, construction of about nine kilometers of expressway is going on from near Delhi’s DND flyover to Kalindi Kunj. Of these, seven kilometers are elevated.

After this, it joins the bypass near Sector-37 crematorium along with the Agra Canal. Part two is 24 kilometers till Malerna Bridge. The third part is 26 kilometers from Malerna Bridge to Sohna.

The part of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway from Alipur in Sohna is also connected from here. According to the project director, this time there was more rainfall. Therefore the work was more affected. There was a delay in shifting the sewer and drinking water lines. The electricity line also became an obstacle. But now the work is being completed rapidly. It is expected that by the end of this month it will be opened for motorists.
