New Expressway: A new expressway is being built at a cost of Rs 2,414 crore, with the help of which a 2-hour journey will be completed in just 15 minutes.
New Expressway: Connectivity is improving rapidly in Delhi-NCR with metro, buses and many expressways. With the help of these development works, there has been a significant decline in the travel time. The people of Delhi-NCR are soon going to get an ultra-modern option of Delhi Airport from the Jewar Airport in Noida. The government is also building many new expressways and highways to connect the cities.
The name of Faridabad Jewar Expressway is also included in this list. Through this expressway, the distance from Ballabhgarh to Jewar Airport can be covered in just 15 minutes. At present, it takes about 2 hours to complete this distance.
Rs 2,414 crore project
The new expressway will be 6 lanes and will reduce the distance from 90 km to 31 km. Development work has already started and according to the National Highways Authority, this Rs 2,414.67 crore project is likely to be completed by June 2025 or within the next year. Work on this expressway started in June 2023. According to DNA India, the proposed 31.425 km long expressway will start from the link road junction (Faridabad Jewar Expressway Route) on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Sector 65 in Faridabad. It will directly connect Jewar Airport. During this, about 22 km of the line will be in Haryana, while the remaining 9 km will be in Uttar Pradesh. It will start from Dayanatpur (near Jewar) and will connect villages like Bahpur, Kalan and Mohana in Haryana via Vallabhnagar, Karauli Bangar, Farida Bangar, Amarpur and Jhuppa in Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, this highway will connect Delhi-Mumbai Highway, Yamuna Expressway, Kundli Ghaziabad Palwal (Eastern Peripheral Expressway) and Kundli, Manesar, Palwal (Western Peripheral Expressway).
Real estate prices may increase by 40%
Once the project is completed, commercial and industrial developments are expected to accelerate, which may lead to an increase in economic activities in NCR. This route will connect both Faridabad and Gurugram directly to Jewar Airport. The Faridabad-Jewar Expressway is very important because after its construction, real estate prices in the villages and other areas passing through it will increase by 30 to 40 percent. That is, this expressway will benefit both industry and real estate apart from creating linkages.
