Gorakhpur Link Expressway: UP is going to get the gift of another expressway. This 91 km long expressway will be connected to Purvanchal Expressway. After this, it will become easier to go to Lucknow, Agra and Delhi from eastern UP.

New Expressway: UP already has the most expressways in the country and now soon one more gift is going to be received. 98 percent of the work of this expressway being built in CM City i.e. Gorakhpur has been completed and it is believed that it will be opened to the general public in January itself. After the start of this expressway, both ends of UP (east and west) will be directly connected. Not only this, going to Lucknow and Delhi will also become easier.

The work of Gorakhpur Link Expressway being built to connect eastern UP with western UP is almost complete. After the opening of this 91 km long expressway, traffic in eastern UP will become much easier. This expressway will go from Gorakhpur to Azamgarh, which will also be connected to Purvanchal Expressway on the way. The total cost of building it is said to be around Rs 7,283 crore.

Easy to go to Lucknow-Delhi

This expressway will start from NH 27 near Jaitpur village in Gorakhpur and end near Salarpur village in Azamgarh. It will also be connected to Purvanchal Expressway, after which there will be direct connectivity from Gorakhpur to Lucknow and this distance can be covered in just 3.5 hours. Currently, it takes 5.50 hours to cover the distance from Gorakhpur to Lucknow. This expressway will also make it easier to go to Delhi and Agra.

How much work is still left

343 structures were to be built on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway, out of which 337 have been built so far. After the completion of this expressway, not only Gorakhpur will benefit, but the surrounding 4 districts Ambedkarnagar, Sant Kabir Nagar and Azamgarh will also benefit a lot. It will also become easier for the people of these districts to go to Delhi, Lucknow and Agra. Along with this, tourism and industrial activities will be promoted in these areas.

Industrial corridors will be built on both sides

The UP government will not only use this expressway for people to walk, but industrial corridors will be built on both sides of it. The purpose of this corridor is to connect with the agricultural zone, set up production units and develop development centers. With this, local business can be easily taken to the national level, which will also prove helpful in generating employment. It is likely to be inaugurated in January itself.
