New Expressway: Vehicles started running from KMP to Punjab border, know how much toll tax will have to be paid

Delhi-Katra Expressway News- The total length of the Delhi-Katra Expressway is 669 km. This expressway will greatly reduce the travel time between Delhi and Katra and Amritsar. Its Haryana section has been opened for traffic.

New Expressway: The Haryana section of the 669 km long Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway has opened for traffic. Vehicles have now started running on the 135 km stretch from Kundli Manesar Palwal (KMP) Expressway to the Punjab border of Kaithal district. The construction work of this expressway is currently underway in Punjab. The length of this expressway in Punjab is about 261 km. Toll collection has also started on the 135 km section of Haryana. A total of 8 toll barriers have been built on the Haryana section of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway.

On using the KMP-Kaithal section of the Delhi-Katra Expressway, light motor vehicles, i.e. cars, jeeps etc. will have to pay a toll tax of Rs 240 for one-way travel and Rs 360 for both ways. Light commercial vehicles will have to pay Rs 385 and Rs 580 as toll tax, while two-axle buses and trucks will have to pay Rs 805 for one side and Rs 1210 for both sides. For three-axle commercial vehicles, the toll tax for one side has been kept at Rs 880 and for both sides at Rs 1320. Toll fee will be charged on the lines of KMP Expressway. A slip will be given to the vehicle at every entry point on the expressway and toll fee will be charged at the exit point.

Toll barriers have been built here

The first toll barrier of Delhi-Amritsar Expressway has been built near KMP. After this, toll posts have been built on Kharkhoda-Sampla road, Rohtak-Kharkhoda road, Panipat-Rohtak road, Jind-Gohana-Sonipat road, Rajasthan-Panipat road, Karnal-Jind road and Kaithal-Narwana road. According to NHAI officials, the construction of interchange of National Highway and State Highway on the expressway will be completed by March 2025.

Delhi to Katra in 6 hours

The total distance of the Delhi-Katra Expressway is about 669 km, which will take only 6 hours to cover. This means that if you leave from Delhi at 6 am, you will reach Katra by 12 noon. It will take only 4 hours to reach Amritsar from Delhi through this expressway. It is not that only Amritsar or Katra can be travelled through this expressway, but it will also become easy to reach cities like Patiala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Gurdaspur, Kapurthala.

This expressway will go to Amritsar and Katra via Jind, Sangrur, Malerkotla, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Gurdaspur. Near Nakodar, the Greenfield Expressway will split into two parts. One part will go towards Amritsar and the other directly to Katra.
