Yogi Cabinet Approved Vindhya Expressway: Yogi Adityanath government has approved a new expressway from Mirzapur to Prayagraj in the cabinet meeting held in Mahakumbh on Wednesday. It will be known as Vindhya Expressway. This expressway will be made of six lanes from Mirzapur to Prayagraj. Along with this, the extension of Ganga Expressway has also been approved. It will connect Prayagraj to Purvanchal Expressway via Mirzapur-Bhadohi-Varanasi-Chandauli-Ghazipur. It is expected that the districts of UP will get a new pace of development with high-speed network and better connectivity. Along with this, a phone lane bridge will be built between Salori-Hetapatti Jhunsi for better connectivity from Prayagraj to Mirzapur, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Azamgarh and Gorakhpur. Another bridge will be built parallel to the Signature Bridge on the Yamuna River.
In a press conference held after the cabinet meeting, CM Yogi said that the government is going to expand the expressway from the point of view of infrastructure. The Ganga Expressway will connect Prayagraj to Mirzapur, Mirzapur to Bhadohi, Bhadohi to Sant Ravidas Nagar via Kashi, Chandauli and Ghazipur to the Purvanchal Expressway. Apart from this, this expressway from Varanasi and Chandauli will connect with the National Highway connecting Sonbhadra. It will be known as Prayagraj, Vindhya and Kashi Expressway.
He informed that the process of connecting Bundelkhand Expressway with Ganga Expressway is being taken forward to connect Chitrakoot and Prayagraj’s Ganga Expressway. Which will connect Chitrakoot with Prayagraj and Rewa Highway which is a National Highway will also get the opportunity to connect with Ganga Expressway or Bundelkhand Expressway. Overall, now the connectivity of Eastern UP to Western UP will become very easy. This will also benefit the people of Bihar bordering Purvanchal.
UP will get high-speed network, excellent connectivity
With the expansion of Ganga Expressway and its connection with Purvanchal Expressway and Bundelkhand Expressway, all the districts of UP will get high-speed network. Road connectivity between the districts will become very good. After the Ganga Expressway is connected to Bundelkhand Expressway and Purvanchal Expressway, Purvanchal and Bundelkhand will get high-speed network from Western UP. This will give new impetus to the development of this region. Apart from this, Varanasi to Chandauli to Sonbhadra will be connected which will be known as Prayagraj-Vindhya-Kashi Expressway. This will provide high-speed network to Purvanchal.
